Central Letters - August 2020

Dear Parents,
I hope all are doing well and having a great summer! Looking forward to seeing our kiddos back in the building!
Please read the information below that we are currently sharing to keep our families up to date as best we can:

Here is a link to our suggested school supplies for Central Elementary. This is for our in-person students. If you are choosing remote learning you don't need to purchase shared items that may be listed. :)

Recently the district emailed forms that are required before school starts. The Medical Form and COVID Parent Verification Form can be e-mailed to lvanderveen@gpsbulldogs.org instead of dropping them off at the school.

Open Houses for In-person Learners:

Our K/YK students will have an in-person open house for our in-person learners and this will be taking place Wednesday, August 19th between 5:00 and 7:00. There will be more information and communication coming out on this soon in regards to format and scheduling.

Our 1st - 6th grade students will have a virtual open house scheduled for Thursday, August 20th between 6:00 - 7:00. Again there will be more information and communication coming out on this soon.

Remote Learners:
We are working on class lists and communication of those formats and that information will be coming soon.

School Building Open/Start Time:

Our building will be opening at 8:24 in the morning. This year we are unable to have the playground available or students on campus until the doors are open at 8:24. This is one of our safety precautions to limit high touch areas and large assemblies of people.

Breakfast will be in the classrooms in the morning and as our students enter the building they will head to their classroom.

We are working on outside learning classrooms. We are looking for EZ up Canopies that any family or organization would be able or willing to donate for our outside classrooms. That would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your understanding and flexibility as we prepare to return our kids to school safety. Have a wonderful day and looking forward to seeing our kids again!
