Mr. Vaandering teaches first grade at Central Elementary. He received his bachelor's degree and master's degree from GVSU, where he was honored with the Outstanding Student in Education Award. He won the Outstanding Thesis Award as well. He currently is a member of the School Improvement Team and serves as a TRIG technology coach. The GEF awarded him a grant for his idea to improve new student morale.
